In AICB’s final webinar collaboration of the year with the World Bank and IBFIM, discussions centred on “Innovation and Opportunities in ESG Financing”. Moderated by AICB Chief Executive Prasad Padmanaban, the webinar highlighted how the banking industry is well placed to drive product innovation and growth in ESG financing. Speakers Dr Adam Ng, Sustainable Finance Expert, WWF-Malaysia; Yuki Yasui, Asia Pacific Region Co-ordination Manager, United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative; and Yoonmee Jeong CFA, Director, Sustainable Finance Group, Global Corporate Bank, OCBC, shared insights on green finance initiatives and innovative solutions that engender good financial returns and create a positive impact on nature, people and the climate; the Principles for Positive Impact Finance and how they deliver the promise of economic, environmental and social sustainability; and where the banking industry will be on the green recovery roadmap come 2025. Over 60 individuals attended the webinar, which was held on 8 December 2020 @ 10 am.
