AICB held its 3rd Chartered Banker Conferment and 22nd Graduation Ceremony 2019 on 13 July 2019 at The KL Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur. This is the 3rd year that AICB together with our partner, the Chartered Banker Institute, UK, have conferred the Chartered Banker award to our members, as well as recognised their achievements in attaining their professional status through the AICB qualifications. Over 1,000 members attended the event.
Officiating the event was Tan Sri Azman Hashim, FCB, Chairman of the AICB Council, who delivered a special address at the graduation ceremony. He said AICB and its members must continue to advocate an exemplary level of ethics, integrity and professionalism and encourage those who share this vision to be our members. He added that over 2,400 banking practitioners have completed their professional qualifications with us in 2018 and this year, our third batch of 104 Chartered Banker conferees have raised the total of Chartered Bankers in Malaysia to 181.
The Institute continues to ensure that its professional qualifications are aligned with industry needs to equip talent in the banking industry with the requisite skills and values through its series of professional qualifications. AICB’s membership currently stands at over 30,000 members from over 10 countries.
